Islamic Propaganda Exposed

"Islamic extremism is the biggest threat to our way of life since World War Two and we'll never be able to fight it – if we can't see it."
-Glenn Beck

According to Iranian propaganda ads, Coca Cola is investing billions of dollars into the United States in an errort to "topple" their country. Pepsi apparently stands for "Pay Every Penny Save Israel," which proves that there is a US/Israeli conspiracy, all revolving around the Zionist regime. Right?

Wrong. This was one of many eye-opening examples played on a special Glenn Beck show entitled "Exposed: The Extremist Agenda." The series aimed to bring the people here at home a up close look at the radical ideals that threaten our way of life, as well as mnay others around the world. Viewers see segments showing children being brainwashed and indoctrinated in a culture of hate; raw footage of anti-Israel and anti U.S. propaganda; suicide bombers being psyched-up for martyrdom; as well as the very real and imminent threat coming forward from Iran.

One segment shows the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, giving his speech to the United Nations. he talked about how Iran was being targeted, threatened, and misportrayed by the United States. He went on to say that their nuclear objectives were solely economic and that it was the US that needed to get on board with the Iran and rest of the world. The show then cuts to his speeches back at home in Iran, where he talks of bringing down the evil US and Israeli regimes, and how if we "look at them (Iran) the wrong way," they will devastate us with their nuclear power. Beck reported, "Here (at the UN) he's talking about love and compassion, while at home he's talking about literally branding our forehands, Islam conquering all the mountaintops in the world, and leading chants of ‘Death to America.'"

This was an excellent program and needs to be seen by people worldwide. The issue here is that these videos have been available for years, yet the media here at home has been reluctant to show them. There was even a film called "Obsession" released several months ago that contained the same videos, but the films creators could not find anyone in the United States to pick it up. Furthermore, Glenn Beck (whose program airs on CNN Headline News) was encouraged not to go forward with his idea. He even told listeners to his radio show that the network (CNN) warned him that if the showing did not go over well, that he could be looking at loosing his job. You all know what happened though...his show recieved the highest ratings in that time slot. See what happens when you tell the whole story to the American people?

Beck closed with a strict warning: "Americans don't seem to take this threat seriously," he explains. "Here are these extremists, telling us clearly and plainly what they want to do, and we won't pay attention. That's what's so frustrating. We're hoping that by finally showing some of this video on a primetime television show, people might finally understand what we're really fighting."

Anyone who says the terror threat is exaggerated has been blinded by the high and mighty media and needs to look into the information above (common sense here people). This could be our final warning and last chance to change our ways here at home in order to defeat the enemy abroad.

The High and Mighty Media

The Media Research Center recently released the findings from a 10 week study done this past summer. The study aimed to analyze how CNN, MSNBC and the Fox News Channel match up when covering such heavy issues as the Iraq War. This comes about after many years of the elite media claiming they are not liberally slanted and that FNC "skews its news in a conservative direction." Well ladies and gentlemen, here are the published results:

"The results show clear editorial differences between the three cable networks. CNN and MSNBC resemble the big broadcast networks, emphasizing a bad news agenda of U.S. misdeeds and mistakes, while FNC was better able to balance the bad news with news of U.S. achievements in Iraq."

Furthermore,
CNN was by for the the most negative network. 60% of all CNN reporting on the war focused on any failure they could dig up, while just 10% was emphasized on achievements or victories. MSNBC was a little better, with four times more bad news stories (48%) than reports stressing good news (12%).

"CNN and MSNBC sensationalized charges of U.S. wrongdoing. While FNC provided significant coverage to unproven claims of U.S. military misconduct in Iraq (12 stories), the other networks took a much more sensational approach to the story. MSNBC aired three times as much coverage of alleged misconduct as FNC (36 stories), while CNN aired a whopping 59 stories — nearly five times the coverage of FNC."

Fox News Channel aired more stories about coalition success in Iraq. FNC aired a total of 81 stories announcing coalition victories in Iraq, nearly as many as MSNBC (47 stories) and CNN (41 stories) combined. During the ten weeks of our study, most coverage of Iraq’s political process reflected optimism about the democratically-elected government, a topic that FNC also showcased more than either MSNBC or CNN (63 stories vs. 34 and 38 respectively).

Even on the best day, CNN and MSNBC found negative themes to promote. While all three networks presented news of Zarqawi’s death as a victory for the U.S. coalition, CNN chose that day to interview a Middle East journalist who complained, "There’s no good news in Iraq. There’s no corner that’s been turned, there’s no milestone....I just feel very depressed and hopeless." Over on MSNBC, the network took time away from covering the breaking news of Zarqawi’s death to feature positive profiles of United States military deserters."

To close, the Fox News Channel was the most balanced network. All three cable news networks ran more stories reflecting bad news about the situation in Iraq than stories about coalition achievements. But FNC was the most balanced, with 20 percent of stories emphasizing optimism, compared with 30 percent that stressed pessimism.

I'll say it again, the high and mighty media outright lies by not telling us the full story. You may not think this is a big deal, but remember that many people disagree with what we do today solely because of the media's illustration of the issue (Terrorism, the Iraq War, Patriot Act, etc.), and the Democrats recently gained power in Congress because of that negativity. They nationalized local elections on issues that they knew were unpopular simply because of what the media tells you (or doesn't tell you).

Baghdad: A Warzone?

First off, Merry Christmas all. This has definately been a much needed holiday for not only Americans, but those all around the world. One event today that I will talk about occured in Iraq. The Stamford, CT based World Wrestling Entertainment held a series of matches for our troops stationed there. Interestingly enough, the ring has been built outdoors in downtown Baghdad (right next to former Hussien occupied Al Faw Palace, currently Camp Victory). Quite an intense "warzone" if we have wrestling going on in downtown Baghdad for the enjoyment of thousands of troops (not just US).

Very quickly, let me go on here with some statistics:

According to the Department of Defense 2,972 American soldiers have been killed since the invasion in March 2003. Lets add the other Coalition casualties, bringing the number to 3,219. That adds up to around 2.5 casualities per day (rounding up) since the beginning of the war.

To compare: In 2005, 16,692 people were murdered here in the United States. That adds up to around 45.7 per day (I rounded down here).

Now, I am not saying that those fallen overseas are less significant or shouldn't be recognized...but when the high-and-mighty media says things like "civil war," "we are loosing," and that we should submit and withdraw, I have to take a step back and think to myself, "how can this be true?" Well, it isnt, and I will tell you that these people in the media lie. This is not spinning anymore, this is outright lying to the US people.

Want more? A liberal site called "Iraq Body Count" boasts that anywhere from 51,814 to 57,368 Iraqi's have been killed since the invasion in '03 (taking the larger number, thats 41.9 people per day, in WARZONE conditions). Most of this violence can be attributed to the terror insurgencies and militias currently being funded and trained by Iran and Syria (and fighting one another). At 45.7 people per day here at home, are we in civil war? I mean, I don't particular like Hillary or Kerry, but I am definately not at war with them...

Additional points to note:
-Out of Iraq's 18 provinces, only 3 are seeing the bulk of violence.
-Iraq death rates are estimated to have been from 70 to 150 civilians per day under the 24 years of Saddam Hussein rule, mainly due to his radical agenda, secret police and death sqauads targeted at those who disagreed with his ideals.
-CNN, the New York Times, MSNBC and other liberal media outlets have not shown you any of the above information...yet burning cars and videos of the enemy killing our troops (but not videos of our victories, because that is "propaganda" according to them) get airtime.

Sammy "Burglar" Berger

Heres the situation: Sam Berger (a former Clinton national security advisor) admits to stealing and destroying classified documents that were of serious importance to the 9/11 Commission. Essenially, these documents were created during the Clinton Administration that contained information about the threat of terrorism on US soil. History shows us that these warnings and thensome were obviously ignored by the above adminsitration (hint hint).

It gets better: Apparently after the Inspector General of the National Archives released this information about Berger's theivery, the Department of Justice attorneys went easy on him, recommending far weaker punishments than the presiding judge had insisted on. DoJ officals went on to say that "no original information had be lost." The troubling thing about this statement is that it covers up the fact that there was a loss of added information (annotations by the administration) to the documents that would have given greater insight into the thought process of those responsible for dealing with the threat of terror.

Now, heres where it gets interesting: Look at a case like Lewis Libby's (suspected CIA leak case) where he has been found innocent of all charges in the investigation. However, the DoJ is still prosecuting him criminally because his statements during the investigation were not consistent. Not only is he being prosecuting heavily, he is all over the drive by media with the tag of "liar." By the way, Libby is the former Chief of Staff, assistant for National Security Affairs to Dick Cheney, as well as a former presidential advisor (aka: Republican).

So, Sam Berger (Clinton Democrat) stole and tampered with top secret documents for some unknown reason and is being let off the hook simply because he is said to be disorganized, implying it may have been on accident (Grade-A Bull). Lewis Libby (Bush Republican) is found innocent of any wrong doings in a current FBI investigation, yet is still criminally prosecuted because of his inaccurate statements during the investigation (maybe he's disorganized as well?).

I must ask myself, why is Mr. Ber-glar getting off on easy street while Libby gets the book thrown at him?. Sam Berger STOLE and DESTROYED top secret US information on terrorism for the purpose of hiding something and/or protecting someone. I see a hell of a lot of smoke, there must be a roaring fire somewhere...maybe in Chappaqua?

Raped of their Innocence

Mike Nifong has finally cracked, and I can guaruntee you he isnt happy about it. An interview on Thursday with the alleged victim by investigators revealed that she "could not testify with certainty that she was raped."

Wow, what a case breaker. As a result, D.A. Nifong has now dropped the charges of rape for the 3 Duke lacrosse players. The charges of kidnapping and sexual assault still stand...how long before they are dropped, or will a trial have to go, further harming these boys? Another question: why have these student athletes been dragged through several months worth of negative media attention and unnecessary court proceedings to only have the victim come forward and say that she isnt so sure now whether or not she had been raped.

She should be charged criminally now, along with Mike Nifong. Everyone knew this was a weak case as soon as all the evidence started coming back PROVING she was not raped by these individuals. On top of that, Nifongs investigators admitted that he withheld critial DNA evidence that also proved the boy's innocence.

My point: Any woman (stripper/prostitute or not) should not be able to get away with wrongly accusing 3 innocent student athletes, leading to their names being completely destroyed (remember, this isn't the first time she has falsely accused men of raping her). On top of that, an irresponsible and dishonest District Attorney should not be able to get away with hiding evidence that hurts his case, then continually pursues these boys with no evidence whatsoever other than the testimony of this sorry excuse for a woman.

These two have stolen from these boys, and we should be just as introlerant of it as we are of rape.

Failure is not an Option

The results have returned from the Iraq Study Group, the political world has reacted and the final outcome is in: NOTHING.

No one down in Washington D.C. seems to be taking this report seriously...but how could you? It took a full commission headed up by James Baker III and Lee Hamilton 8 months to come up with the most ridiculous 79 recommendations that essentially could have gone unsaid, have already been done, or make no sense whatsoever. In the end of it all, the Bush Administration has kindly rejected a majority of the report and its recommendations, as well as the House and Senate over on Capital Hill (done in a not so friendly fashion).

On top of it all, this report did not seek out the solutions it was established to obtain. Not one shred of this report is positive and all 79 recommendations are ingredients for surrender and failure. Why are we considering timetables for withdrawal when all that will do is tell the enemy when we quit? Why are we thinking about negotiating with the enemy (Iran and Syria) who have committed countless resources to insurgent militias to ensure we do fail in Iraq? How does that negotiation begin? Why is one of the recommendations to have the Iraqi border secured and patroled by the "neighboring nations (Iran and Syria, the enemies)? This is hogwash.

This commission has disgraced our integrity and will to succeed. It makes fighting a tough battle even tougher and creates even more lack of support here at home. All that will come of this report is increased levels of divide here at home, which makes for worse policy and less support for what is right. People are working right now to strip us of our safety and security, and the pivotal factor is victory in Iraq and the middleeast overall...maybe instead of fighting policy here at home and establishing victories for our enemies (remember, no matter what a democrat tells you, we are the good guys...), we should be unified in the effort to succeed for democracy, freedom and security.

Race-Based Scholarships

Recently, national attention fell onto the Boston University College Republicans. They initiated the small ($250), but meaningful, "Caucasian Achievement and Recognition Scholarship," which requires a 3.2 GPA, 2 essays, an application process...and for the applicant to be at least a quarter caucasian.

I must applaud this group for attempting to raise awareness on this topic of inequality while taking blows from their fellow students, the BU administration and the national media. Many people have spoken out stating this is racism and inappropriate, and this is exactly what BUCR Chair, Joe Mroszczyk, was hoping for. Through this scholarship, which was intended to be the precursor for a dialogue on racial preferences, they have exposed the hypocrisy of race based scholarships and affirmative action. “We think it’s silly to quantify race like that, just as it’s silly to give any scholarship based on race,” said Mroszczyk, “We don’t think racial preferences are good or have a place on a college campus.”

Joe, I must agree. I believe its sad that we have reached a point in our society where the attempt to merely help out others is smashed and paraded around with the tag of "racist" simply because of how the individual was born into this world. Scholarships should be merit and need based...and the color of your skin qualifies as neither.
