Climate Change Hits Mars

NASA Scientists are saying that Mars has warmed by over 0.5C since the 1970's, a similar change to the warming we have experienced here on Earth over the same period. Now I ask you, what force could possibly effect both planets and change their climates in a similar manner? (Hint: There's a picture of it to the right)

I am pretty sure that little rover we have running around on Mars isn't causing "man-made" global warming up there. So, to compare, we have similar changes in climate between here and Mars (an uninhabited planet) and I believe we have to ask if maybe our warming trend has more to do with outside sources rather than animal gas and SUV's. People seem to keep ignoring the fact that we have a rather insignificant impact on the CO2 levels here on Earth.

How long do you think it will be before environmentalist nuts start saying there must be civilizations on Mars (out of sight) that are causing their warming trend? Even better, I bet they'll probably find some way to blame it on us, the average American...again.

EU Limits Livestock Emissions

Why? Why else? To combat global warming, of course.

The European Union has recently passed legislation demanding that animals diets be changed, their gas collected and manure recycled in order to curb the effects of global warming.
“The livestock sector presents the greatest threat to the planet,” they noted in an official statement. This is in response to a UN report that says livestock farming produces 18% of greenhouse gases while the human element accounts for just 14%.

Well, those in Europe have lost their minds.

How much further will we the people bend over in order to accommodate a theory that is weak at best? Sure, lets be responsible and not pollute, conserve energy and be conscious of how we effect the environment around us...after all, these steps can lead to more efficient living monetarily. However, using plastic bags, driving a non-hybrid car or simply passing gas does not make us evil or contribute to the end of the world.

Your word...

Animals are People Too...

"On behalf of PETA's more than 1.6 million members and supporters worldwide, I am writing to request that you revise The Associated Press Stylebook so that its grammatical rules reflect the fact that animals are living beings rather than inanimate objects. In magazine articles, popular literature, and advertising, writers are using 'he,' 'she,' and 'who' to refer to animals, instead of the outdated and inaccurate 'it' and 'which.'"

Anna West of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) issued the above statement in a letter to the editor of the Associated Press, Norm Goldstein. While this may appear to be a legitimate claim to some, maybe you should think about this request while you bite into your juicy burger.

By the way, all this coming from an organization that condemns hunting, calling it murder, yet euthanizes tens of thousands of animals every year at their headquarters in Virginia in order to "save them."

Seriously though, what is the point of a move like this? This is just another small step towards including animals as part of, and equals in, our society. If the extremists in PETA had their way, chickens and whales would vote alongside the rest of us. I thought we made our way to the top of the food chain for a reason...thats just me.

Bottom line: This is a ridiculous claim that shouldn't carry any weight. For those of you who disagree, hire a pig or cow as your next assistant or factory worker, see how it goes...I'll keep hitting up the drive-through's and enjoying them during mealtime.

Quick note: The above picture is an actual cover in print through PETA's comic book series for children.

Is Rosie Gone?

Rosie is gone from "The View" after less than a year, but what's next for the controversial "comedian?"

To analyze, lets take a look at some of her resume from the past year:
  • Made racial references about Asians, stating "Ching Chang Chong."
  • Declared that "Radical Christianity is just as dangerous as Radical Islam."
  • Gave legitimacy to 9/11 conspiracy theories, claiming that this is the first time in history that "fire melted steel."
  • Attacked Donald Trump for his decisions about his competition.
  • Referred to the British soldiers capture by Iran as a staged initiator for war stating, "But interesting with the British sailors, there were 15 British sailors and Marines who apparently went into Iranian waters and they were seized by the Iranians. And I have one thing to say: Gulf of Tonkin, Google it. Okay."
  • Gave no credibility to Khalid Sheik Muhammad's confessions because he had a "hood on his head and [was] being beaten to death."
  • Repeatedly called for the impeachment of our President, calling him a disgrace and claiming America is not a Democracy. She also declared that "he is basically a war criminal."
  • She also repeatedly attacked, and nearly ate, poor Elizabeth Hasselbeck (who is a babe by the way).
When looking back, the fact that Don Imus was let go over "nappy headed ho" clearly shows the leniency that has been shown to Rosie. In my mind, she should have been sent packing months ago.

I will give her credit though when its due: Her controversial statements have boosted the ratings of "The View" to all-time highs. It is because of this that I do not believe Rosie is gone. The attention she has received will most likely motivate her back into her own talk show, TV or Radio. In a setting such as that, she will be able to say whatever she wants without anyone arguing back.

Mark this prediction, she will be back on a taller soap box and with more to say. Watch for her to continue the push towards extreme political talk under the cover of "comedy."

San Francisco: Sanctuary for Immigrants, Legal or Not

Mayor Gavin Newsom stated recently that his city, San Francisco, will ignore any immigration laws put in place that views illegal immigrants as criminals. He also said that San Francisco would become a sanctuary for immigrants, "documented as well as undocumented."

The plan is to do everything in his power to prevent raids and arrests within the city of San Francisco of any immigrant, legal or not. "I will not allow any of my department heads or anyone associated with this city to cooperate in any way shape or form with these raids," Newsom declared. "We are a sanctuary city, make no mistake about it." Essentially, no San Francisco employee (police, etc.) will help with immigration enforcement.

He says this in front of 300 members at St. Peter's Church, a majority of them Latino...great way to rally votes. It will be interesting though when the day comes where his city is doing nothing to prevent illegals from operating freely within our borders, or when a federal organization looks for city resources to combat it and are blocked. This is nothing short of violating immigration law.

"Our action is to stand strong in opposition to these raids ... to make sure that we are not contributing in any way, shape or form," he declared.

I hope he gets arrested.

Consequences of Cho Seung Hui

While this is a tragic event that has and will plague everyone nationwide, especially those connected to Virginia Tech, there are repercussions in the works that will continue to effect Americans in their daily lives.

The main issue that has come up is gun control…again. We saw this phenomenon following the events at Columbine, where liberal politicians do what they do best: Latch onto horrific events and loss of life to play for political advantage. By using disasters like Virginia Tech, Columbine, even hurricanes (something we have no control over), liberals politicians attempt to give the government more power, limits our rights and push their agendas as solutions that will prevent similar events in the future.

For the record, banning guns, limiting CO2 emissions or whatever else government libs feel like implementing in order to protect us from ourselves are simply measures that give them more power and hamstring the American people. We know this.

There is a larger issue at hand here. Instead of condemning and showing no tolerance for Cho Seung Hui’s actions, we are presenting his story to the American people and talking of what may have caused him to do this or what law enforcement and the university did wrong that day. Where is the outrage? Show people that this type of message via death and chaos will not stand in our society.

Most people will say that those points should go without saying, but consider this. Now we have the next kid in line watching a story all over the media that resembles his situation. He sees how someone got their message out to the masses by going out in a “blaze of glory,” and now the ideas begin flow through his head. Cho Seung Hui is now a role model for those who are also lost in life…a predecessor of sorts.

Bottom line: Condemn and show no tolerance for these actions and their results/consequences. Do now allow liberals to expand his rampage onto the rest of us. Will bad things like this happen again? Yes, most certainly, but do not allow that fact to enable the likes of Cho Seung Hui and others to change who we are and how we live.

The Virginia Tech Tragedy

As most of you know, there are 32 dead and many more wounded on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. Many are already asking the question, “Why didn’t the university lock down? Where were law enforcement units? Why was the shooter able to wander free for over 2 hours before strolling into a classroom?”

Let us answer some of these, shall we?

The initial shooting was of an ex-girlfriend and a Resident Assistant trying to break up the argument between her and the shooter, making it a domestic incident. With that, law enforcement professionals made the call that this was a contained incident that was not preplanned. They also went on witness accounts that stated the shooter fled the dorm room and campus. They figured he was fleeing the state as they handled the incident, local law enforcement was on alert.

The first email went out about an hour later, right around the time the paramedics were clearing from the first shooting. Remember, the initial incident occurred on the top floor of a building that houses over 900 students. This response time is considered normal in my mind because the time it would take for a campus police department to respond, paramedics to arrive, process and transport the victims. Meanwhile, there are witnesses being interviewed, local agencies being contacted, and theories beginning to spark up over what had happened and where he had gone. Throughout all of this, I am sure someone was making the attempt to contact the administration at the university in order to inform them of the situation. Then a decision is made and an email is cut to the students, classes are already in session campus wide.

They were much better of not allowing classes to end, because that would simply put students outside where the shooter had fled. The one aspect that could have been utilized was locking down those who were currently in class. Even then, and in just about every scenario short of martial law, he would have had large amounts of victims to choose from.

Bottom line: Leave the university, psychologists and law enforcement personnel alone. We rely on our professionals to make the best decision possible based on their training and experience. Just because a unique individual comes along and does the unthinkable does not mean we should be crucifying those who, in their best efforts, did what they could to help.

Instead, shouldn’t we be focusing on condemning and showing no tolerance for these actions? Show those in similar situations that they need to reach out to the help at hand…not to a firearm and mass violence.

What is your take on the events of April 16 in Blacksburg?

Duke Lacrosse Rape Case: All Charges Dropped

Well, in my mind its about time. The state attorney stated yesterday that these men were "innocent," not that there was insufficient evidence or a weak case...they are INNOCENT.

Mike Nifong, the former prosecutor of this case, has completely undermined the integrity of the justice system. Not only was this a breach of ethics, it was also a breach of the law and the public he was supposed to serving. As a result, I believe he should be charged and prosecuted because this is nothing less than a crime at the taxpayers expense.

Here is a general time-line of events in the Duke lacrosse rape case of David Evans, Reade Seligmann & Collin Finnerty. Bear in mind that throughout this entire charade, Mike Nifong is constantly parading around in front of the media proclaiming the atrocities committed by these young men against this poor woman...
  • March 13, 2006 - Duke University lacrosse players throw a party at an off-campus house, hiring two strippers.
  • March 14 - One of the dancers tells Durham, N.C., police she was forced into a bathroom by three men and beaten, raped and sodomized.
  • March 23 - Forty-six of 47 team members comply with judge's order to provide DNA. The sole black member is not tested, because the accuser said her attackers were white.
  • March 28 - Duke suspends lacrosse team from play.
  • March 29 - District Attorney Mike Nifong calls members of the team "a bunch of hooligans."
  • April 4 - The accuser identifies her attackers in a photo lineup of Duke lacrosse players.
  • April 5 - Lacrosse coach Mike Pressler resigns and Duke President Richard Brodhead cancels the rest of the season.
  • April 10 - Defense attorneys announce DNA tests fail to connect any of the players to the accuser, while Mike Nifong attempts to sit on that information.
  • April 17 - Grand jury indicts Reade Seligmann and Collin Finnerty on rape and other charges.
  • April 25 - Granville County authorities confirm the accuser told police 10 years ago she was raped by three men when she was 14. None of the men was charged in that case.
  • May 15 - Grand jury indicts team co-captain David Evans on rape charges. He calls the allegations "fantastic lies."
  • Nov. 7 - Nifong wins his election to continue as district attorney.
  • Dec. 15 - Director of a DNA lab testifies that, in an agreement with Nifong, he omitted from a report that genetic material from several men (none of them team members) was found in accuser's underwear and body.
  • Dec. 22 - Nifong drops the rape charges after the woman (accuser) claims she is no longer certain whether she was penetrated or who may have done it. The players still face charges of kidnapping and sexual offense.
  • Dec. 28 - North Carolina bar files ethics charges against Nifong, accusing him of making misleading and inflammatory comments to the media about the athletes. He is also later accused of withholding evidence and lying to the court.
  • Jan. 3, 2007 - Duke invites Seligmann and Finnerty to return to school (They have not returned). The accuser gives birth. Both sides later say she was not impregnated at the party.
  • Jan. 12 - Nifong requests to withdraw himself from the case because of the ethics charges.
  • Jan. 13 - North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper takes over the case.
  • April 11 - Cooper drops all charges, accusing Nifong of overreaching.
Seems a bit convenient that this whole case got thrown into the national media with Mike Nifong in the middle right around election season. The fact that he pushed so hard on the words of an unreliable source, no evidence and a fraudulent lineup show what type of individual we are dealing with here. Yes, there are others responsible in this case, but at the top of the food chain is Nifong and the accuser.

Bottom line: I believe its no holds barred at this point. These 3 young men have lost a great deal of the most pivotal time of their lives. They now must also live with the stigma that goes along with being accused and indicted in a sexual assault case. Nifong and this woman played with these boys lives, and they should pay dearly.

Now come the civil suits that these boys and their former coach can take advantage of in the attempt to regain their reputations. Millions will be paid.

By the way...Where did Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson go on this one? They were very high and mighty of themselves a year ago, saying every negative thing they could about these players and the team in general and their crimes against this black woman. Are they going to apologize? I didn't think so...

UPDATE:
4/12/2007, 3:39pm
Nifong has officially apologized for his role in this case (abomination). Too little, too late...right? I believe so, what say you?

"Nappy Headed Ho's"

Don Imus, syndicated talk radio show host, has been recently suspended for referring to the Rutger's women basketball team as "nappy headed ho's." People like Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have called for him to resign or be fired, along with an outcry from portions of the public denouncing his show.

Ugh...let me try to tackle this one. The cast of Imus's show were in a discussion on the basketball teams in the NCAA women's finals, calling them all tough, then using the term "nappy headed ho's." Maybe these comments were out of line, but this man does not deserve the level of criticism and hate he has gotten from the likes of Al Sharpton and his followers.

Don Imus went on Sharpton's radio show to try and clear the air...but it turned into nothing more than an opportunity to badger and ridicule Imus, ending with the demand that he resign. Sharpton even had his college-aged daughter come on air to face Imus while he was lectured him on his comments: "You see this young lady right here? She is not a 'nappy headed ho,' she is my daughter." Imus stated on the program that "our agenda is to be funny and sometimes we go too far. And this time we went way too far."

He continues to tell critics that his show is filled with comedy that touches many people, regardless of race, religion, sex or creed. Imus or his co-hosts have called Colin Powell a "sniffling weasel," New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson a "fat sissy," referred to Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell of Colorado (an American Indian) as "the guy from F Troop," called Hillary Clinton an "old bag" and stated that the New York Knicks are a group of "chest-thumping pimps." Al Sharpton has called for advertisers of Imus to boycott his show.

Leave the guy alone. Not only does he feel terrible that some people took his comments in a negative way, he is apologizing endlessly and feels "embarrassed." He wasn't being racist on his show and didn't intend to insult anyone. The fact that a guy like Sharpton go's after him so hard, and even bring his daughter into the mix to try and make the Don feel even worse is beyond me. Seems to me that there is a double standard since Sharpton can say what he wants about anyone else (whites, police officers, etc.), but he'll attack anyone that mentions anything remotely close to an African American reference.

Another point: Any hip-hop star can get away with saying the nastiest things about women or "ho's," but they never catch any flak despite the fact that those comments are much more damaging, offensive and in much larger circulation than Imus's one liner.

Watch the video at CBS and decide for yourself if Imus deserves the heat he's catching. In the meantime, here is the exact exchange of comments from the "controversial" show:

DON IMUS: So I watched the basketball game last night between a little bit of Rutgers and Tennessee, the women's final.
SID ROSENBERG: Yeah, Tennessee won last night, seventh championship for Pat Summitt, I-Man. They beat Rutgers by thirteen points.
DON IMUS: Some rough girls from Rutgers. Man, they've got tattoos and --
    BERNARD McGUIRK: Some hardcore hos.
DON IMUS: That’s some nappy-headed hos there, I’m going to tell you that. Man, that’s some -- ooh! And the girls from Tennessee, they all look cute, you know, so -- like kind of like a -- I don’t know.
BERNARD McGUIRK: A Spike Lee thing.
    DON IMUS: Yeah.
BERNARD McGUIRK: The Jigaboos versus the Wannabes --
    DON IMUS: Yeah.
BERNARD McGUIRK: That movie that he had?
DON IMUS: Yeah, it was a tough --
CHARLES McCORD: Do the Right Thing.
    BERNARD McGUIRK: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
DON IMUS: I don't know if I’d have wanted to beat Rutgers or not. But they did, right?
SID ROSENBERG: It was a tough watch. The more I look at Rutgers, they look exactly like the Toronto Raptors.
DON IMUS: Well, I guess, yeah.
    LOU RUFFINO: Only tougher.

They are quoting the Spike Lee movie "School Daze." You tell me here. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I believe Imus should stand his ground simply because this is not a big deal and has been blown way out of proportion. Imus may be a jackass, but he's not a racist. As always, I look forward to your view & discussion on this topic.

UPDATE
4/12/2007, 10:33pm
Imus has officially been let go by CBS and will no longer be broadcasting his radio show. For an incident that didn't even produce one complaint to the FCC and has been pushed by the likes of Sharpton, Jackson and the high and mighty media, I cannot believe that this has happened. I am, however, looking forward to Imus's potential return to radio. Whether I agree with what he says or believes, he has been wronged and deserves another shot. I, personally, hope he gets signed elsewhere and banks big time.

Our Grocery Bags are now a Climate Issue

The government, uninformed public and corporations are now going after plastic bags in order to help the environment, and possibly curb the effects of global warming. Ikea has lead the crusade in the US by charging customers who choose to use plastic bags a little extra, followed up by the San Francisco government who has banned the usage of plastic bags completely. Other companies and districts worldwide have begun their own bans.

“There are many reasons against themthey’re a petroleum product...You see them in trees...and they even wash up on beaches in the South Pacific," states John Calandrelli, coordinator of the Connecticut chapter of the Sierra Club. He goes on to say that leaving a store with a one-time-use plastic bag “is something a lot of time we’ll do for ease or convenience, without even asking ourselves, ‘What is a planet worth.’”

Are these people serious at this point? Yes, Al Gore made a persuasive movie that can influence those who do not understand the science, or simply listen to those who have been pushed aside because they DO follow the science (Fred Singer, Robert Carter, Ian Clark, William Gray, Sallie Baliunas, Lee Gerhard, George Chilingar, Khabibullo Ismailovich Abdusamatov, David Legates, Nir Shaviv, and the list goes on and on).

Hey, lets try a new idea: Look up the facts on your own from the scientists who don't have salaries dependent on the existence of man-made global warming. Plastic bags may be hazardous to aspects of our society, but their production is not hurting the climate.

“We applaud anyone trying to do anything to reduce” litter and “the amount of waste going into landfills,” says Donna Dempsey, executive director of the Film & Bag Federation, a business unit of the Society of the Plastics Industry. Well then, maybe people should simply be more conscious of how they dispose of their plastic bags. I'd like to see that rather than just another mandate in response to how "we the people" have screwed up yet again. Apparently we desperately need the government to step in and hold our hands...

I am all for industry attempting to cut costs in order to serve the customer more efficiently, but to ban a plastic bag because a polar bear might float off is just plain ludicrous.

Happy Easter

For those of you celebrating this great Christian Holiday signifying the resurrection of Christ, I wish you a Happy Easter. Although people around the world may feast and celebrate on this holy day in many different ways, it still all leads to one central idea: Jesus Christ, our lord, sacrificed and died on the cross for our sins. He was then risen, proclaimed his message, and ascended into Heaven.

Today, I want to give my thanks to all those who have made my life possible, beyond the great gifts the lord has bestowed upon me. Without you all, my life would not be one of such worth and happiness. It is on this day that our lord sacrificed all for the salvation of others (all of us) and we should be thankful for what we, our friends and our families have been blessed with.

This is a great time which marks a pivotal point in our history. For those of you who do not celebrate this joyous day as I do, I also wish you a Happy Easter. It is still a good day for coloring & hiding eggs, eating candy and meeting up with family you would otherwise never see. Essentially, a time of joy in one way or another.

With that, I wish you all the best and pray that you too find happiness in your endeavors.

British Soldiers Treated Harshly

"We were bound, hands behind our backs, blindfolds on, and then shoved up against a wall. I could see people's feet under my blindfold...One of the lads heard weapons being cocked. He freaked out and dropped to the floor. He was screaming: 'Lads, they are going to execute us.' Somehow I undid my hands from behind my back, pulled my blindfold off. There were guys with weapons there, but it didn't look like a firing squad. They were just playing with their weapons...That was the worst moment. There was a lot of trickery and mind games being played."
-Lieutenant Felix Carman

In the aftermath of the Iranian's release of 15 British marines and sailors they had in custody, some have said this is a sign of peace from Iran and its leaders. Ahmadinejhad has even come forward and said that it is now time for the leaders of the UK to show positive action in return.

Here is what the Iranians didn't want the rest of the world to find out: Those captured by Iran were blindfolded, bound, held in solitary confinement and subjected to "constant psychological pressure." Some members of the group even described being lined up as Iranian soldiers cocked their weapons. They were also told that if they confessed, they would be set free and go home...if they did not, they would serve 7+ years in an Iranian prison. I believe they wanted a confession to a false crime in order to further undermine the efforts of the Western Coalition in the Middle East.

This really brings to light what the Iranians were dong with these innocent soldiers patrolling Iraqi waters on a UN mandate. It is no wonder that the one woman involved appeared before Iranian cameras proclaiming they were being treated well...She was probably scared out of her mind.

Iranian leaders did make the right move by setting them free, yet they did not make the right moves while the UK soldiers were in their custody. The sad part about this situation is that Iran will be able to create some good will in the world by focusing on the fact that they set these "criminals" free.

One thing is for sure, Iran has boughten more time.

Pelosi's Job?

“It’s one thing to send a message...It’s another thing to have the person receiving the message actually do something. Sending delegations hasn’t worked, it’s simply been counterproductive.”
-President Bush

So apparently it is in Nancy Pelosi's job description to play foreign diplomat...

I'm being sarcastic. She basically showed the world this past week why it is wrong for members of congress to pretend to be the Secretary of State. When Ms. Pelosi arrived in Syria she met with dictator Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, after which she proclaimed she had a message from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert: "Israel was ready to engage in peace talks" with Syria. Pelosi went on to state that "We expressed our interest in using our good offices in promoting peace between Israel and Syria."

There are a couple of different issues here: First, the Prime Minister of Israel gave no such message to Ms. Pelosi. Second, she misrepresented the Syrian dictator's message. This is seen by the one thing that Prime Minister Olmert DID tell Nancy Pelosi: "A number of Senate and House members who recently visited Damascus received the impression that despite the declarations of Bashar Assad, there is no change in the position of his country regarding a possible peace process with Israel." So, House Speaker Pelosi essentially has given credibility to Assad's message, words that everyone else is calling lies and propaganda (proven by his actions).

Although she has been met with criticism from the President and others, Pelosi goes on by saying "We came in friendship, hope, and determined that the road to Damascus is a road to peace," Ms. Pelosi grandly declared.

The following is the Washington Post's response to her words: "Never mind that that statement is ludicrous: As any diplomat with knowledge of the region could have told Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Assad is a corrupt thug whose overriding priority at the moment is not peace with Israel but heading off U.N. charges that he orchestrated the murder of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri. The really striking development here is the attempt by a Democratic congressional leader to substitute her own foreign policy for that of a sitting Republican president. Two weeks ago Ms. Pelosi rammed legislation through the House of Representatives that would strip Mr. Bush of his authority as commander in chief to manage troop movements in Iraq. Now she is attempting to introduce a new Middle East policy that directly conflicts with that of the president. We have found much to criticize in Mr. Bush's military strategy and regional diplomacy. But Ms. Pelosi's attempt to establish a shadow presidency is not only counterproductive, it is foolish." Yes, the Washington Post.

Essentially, Nancy Pelosi is doing exactly what we all thought she would: Making herself and the Democrats look foolish. She goes far beyond that, however, by stepping into a realm she knows nothing about. She then attempts to negotiate with a dangerous dictator whose country has supported the efforts of terror organizations, Hezbollah and Hamas, as well as the continued efforts to combat our soldiers in the Middle East. Maybe she's lost?

Bottom line: She needs to come home and shut her mouth. Ms. Pelosi, let Condoleeza handle foreign affairs (it is her job, one she does well), you focus on your wacky liberal agendas and continue to shoot yourself (John Kerry style).

Hillary's Ideas Seem to be what Americans Want

Whether I like it or not apparently...

A recent poll shows that Americans nationwide seem to see eye to eye with the thoughts and ideas of Presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton.
Of these ideas, they are in love with the thought of a national health care system, increased taxes to accommodate additional social programs, secular values that push any symbols of Christianity out of the public eye, withdrawal from Iraq and an open border to immigrants, legal or not.

These numbers show a major change in the ideological landscape that once was America. This new America, people are proclaiming, is the wave of a new progressive future for not just citizens of the United States, but people worldwide.

Other results from the poll shows that Americans believe that the United States needs to recognize their place among all other nations, and begin to act as equals with the rest of the world. All in all, Americans believe the US and its citizens should be just like every other person, regardless of national origin...

April Fools.

Come on now. Americans (with any level of common sense) realize that we shouldn't be like the rest of the world...it is the rest of the world that should have the opportunity to be as free, safe and prosperous as we are here in America.

Why Democrats are Pissing Me Off

This has nothing to do with lost liberalism (although many of them are these days), nor the fact that they are attempting to enact policy that I disagree with. This is about their efforts to destroy people within the Bush Administration in order to remain on top. This is pure politics, but they need to learn that politics is not a game that can be used for power.

What is politics then? I like to describe it as the facilitator between the people and legislators. A process in which the ideas that make up the majority of this country can be heard and seen when laws, policies and bills are written into our constitution.

What are the Democrats doing now on Capital Hill? Going after Alberto Gonzales, Scooter Libby, wasting time on non-binding resolutions, bad mouthing the administration and attempting to call out President Bush and all those around him on any little thing they can (Karl Rove, Condoleeza Rice, Dick Cheney, etc.). Yet, all the Democrats who are involved in scandals or sketchy histories are never brought up (Sandy Berger, Bill Clinton (not just Monica), Bob Byrd, Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank, John Murtha, William Jefferson, etc.).

This is all a loud, colorful show that the democrats are attempting to put on for the American people in order to convince them that Bush, Republicans, conservatives, pro-war advocates, corporate heads, and anyone who works for a living is inherently evil. This becomes a larger problem when you look at the repercussions of such an act.

They know that if they can get the word "bad" coming into the minds of people when they think of everyone listed above, they will begin to win with their damaging policy ideas.
Once they feel they have everyone in check, submission or just plain eliminated, they will go after the tax cuts and have them repealed, raise taxes, open our borders, end the Iraq War, proclaim victory for Iran and the Terrorist Insurgents, cut the Patriot Act, increase social program spending, institute national health care (on the dollar of those who won't use it), take the White House and then some.

Think I'm crazy? Look into their agendas and you'll notice they haven't begun to touch them yet. They are waiting for that moment when the average conservative feels bad about who they are and won't speak out against these liberal ideas that simply do not make sense outside happy-go-lucky land. It can be seen everywhere today.

Stick to your guns, conservatives...our ideas work. Do not let these liberals defame our good name and slander everything we have built in the name of relativism, secularism and "warm & fuzzy" feelings.
