Hugo Silences the People

Hugo Chavez has silenced the final remaining television network with an opposing view to the/his socialist philosophy. The protesters who gathered to show their disagreement with Chavez's ways were met with tear gas and rubber bullets from soldiers.

Now there is total control in Venezuela as Chavez has removed all opposition in the media. Globovisión has been replaced with a government run public service broadcast network.

This is very similar to what the liberals have been attempting to pass in this country with the Fairness Act, a piece of legislation that claims to "level the playing field" by banning conservatives on the radio and television who hold large ratings.

The way I see it, if the people choose to listen and participate with conservative talk, liberal talk, socialist talk or totalitarian talk, then that is the choice of the people. Simple because more people choose conservative ideas today in the media is not reason to claim that liberals are not getting a fair shake...it simply means that most people don't want to hear liberals.

What does oppressing one side of the spectrum get us anyways?

By the way, Bolivia and Ecuador (also liberal nations) are about to follow suit by taking hostile action against their media outlets and Hugo is now suing CNN for linking his administration to Al-Qaeda.

Sheehan Gives it Up

Cindy Sheehan is done with the anti-war movement. "I have tried ever since he died to make his sacrifice meaningful," she wrote. "Casey died for a country which cares more about who will be the next American Idol than how many people will be killed in the next few months while Democrats and Republicans play politics with human lives." Her letter of resignation was poetically titled, "Good Riddance, Attention Whore."

I honestly feel bad for Mrs. Sheehan. She was just plain used by the lost liberal and anti-war advocates in this country. They used her son, her pain and her passion for their own political gains. I believe she finally saw this. While her and I do not see eye to eye on the war and other aspects of this country, she tried to fight for something she felt was worthwhile. She did not, however, believe the liberal democrats would live up to their character as hypocrites. They know just as well as anyone else with the power or will to research the issue themselves that the War on Terror is vital. They simply used activists like Cindy for political gains.

Now we finally have a war finding bill with no price limit or timetable. Mrs. Sheehan will go home and attempt to rebuild the family she has destroyed. Politicians will continue to play politics

"My son did indeed die for nothing," Mrs. Sheehan wrote before departing. I like to believe he died for our freedoms, for you, and for me. God Bless Casey Sheehan and the many others who have fought for this great land.

Gay Club wins the right to ban Straights

An Australian hotel & pub catering to homosexuals has recently won the right to ban heterosexuals from its property. Now, at the Peel Hotel in southern Melbourne, a place of business has the legislated right to discriminate based on sexuality. The Victoria's State Human Rights Commission in Australia prevents people from being discriminated against based on race, religion or sexuality under the equal opportunity laws.

The commission, however, views the equality laws differently. They backed the ruling, claiming that it was in line with the equal opportunity guidelines because they protect groups that are subject to discrimination.

My question here is: Who decides who is subject to discrimination? Isn't banning a certain group of people discrimination? This scenario assumes that any straight individual entering the bar would have the intent of harming those inside.

This is no different from banning African Americans from a "white" bar or banning gays from a "straight" bar. When are we going to get to a point where we fight discrimination by removing from public venues, not replacing it in benign form.

Rosie is Gone

Finally. After the intense shootout with Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Rosie has decided to call it quits more than 3 weeks before her contract was up.

I, for one, was glad to see Elizabeth finally stand up for herself and her beliefs as a conservative. I hope she continues her fight on "The View" to keep a level of common sense amidst the liberal clucking that ensues on a daily basis.

As for Rosie, she is by no means done. She will sign a new contract, one where she will have her own show once again...no more countering opinions like Elizabeth or guests such as Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and others.

I hope that when that show hits the air, be it radio or television, that people take a certain level of common sense into it. Too many people have actually taken her seriously on the political spectrum, adding more to the ranks of lost liberals.

I'm sorry Rosie, radical Christianity is not as dangerous as radical Islam, 9/11 was not an inside job organized by our government, and you are not the spokeswoman for gays and females everywhere.

Whew...

Wyeth has just received approval from the FDA for their new birth control pill (Lybrel) that stops women's monthly period indefinitely. From the Associated Press:

"It's the latest approved oral contraceptive to depart from the 21-days-on, seven-days-off regimen that had been standard since birth-control pill sales began in the 1960s. The Wyeth pill is the first designed to put off periods altogether when taken without break."

Way I see it, it might prevent anomalies seen in society such as the fine young woman in this photo here. Less headaches for the rest of us, eh?

The full story.

**For those of you who may take my analysis of this story seriously, its just a joke. Isn't it sad that I have to post a disclaimer for those out there who simply look for reasons to attack me?**

The American Flag: Banned

A Hummer dealership in Las Vegas
has come under attack recently for flying a large 30'x60' American Flag above it's property. The reasoning by the city council is because of complaints from surrounding neighbors of the noise of the flag flapping in the wind, as well as a few others claiming it isn't right for the dealer to use the flag as advertising for business.

"What disturbs us is the exploitation of veterans," said Steve Sanson, a Marine in Desert Storm. The flag "is being used for selfish financial gain." Wayne Earl, a WWII veteran stated, "I like to see the flag flown. I don't like to see the flag used as a commercial draw...It should be flown reverently, not auspiciously."

The council voted to force the dealership owner, Dan Towbin, to remove the flag and pole from the property within 60 days. Towbin is outraged by the decision.

"Its ridiculous in todays' day and age to suggest removing an American Flag," he said, insisting the flag is only about his patriotism. "Whether my heart is in the right place, only I would know. How would anyone else know that?" He highlighted his involvement at Nellis Air Force Base where he is an honorary commander.

At the city council meeting, Towbin read from a letter written by the business owner next door, Joseph Esposito. "The flag "fills my entire team of 55 employees with pride," Esposito wrote. "Any individual or group that would refer to this symbol of America as a nuisance, eyesore, or noisemaker should be looked at by the Department of Homeland Security to see where their sympathies lie." Strong words.

Whats the deal here? We're now at the point in this country where people are arguing over whether or not a business owner can fly a flag over his own property? Towbin was also planning to construct a memorial at the base of the pole in the memory of fallen soldiers, which was awaiting the city's final approval of the flag. He didn't actually believe the flag would be banned.

He should have though, this not being the first time he's had a run-in with Las Vegas over flying American flags. Just before Memorial Day in 2004, Towbin was ordered to remove small flags flying from vehicles at the Prestige Infiniti dealership because they were "attention gaining devices."

Jesus Christ...American flags are attention grabbing. What a crime. What have we come to as a society when flying our own flag can be controversial. The city did back off in '04 after the story hit the national spotlight. Hopefully they will back off again.

Showdown: Carter v. Bush

An outspoken critic of the Bush White House, former president Jimmy Carter stated yesterday that "as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history." He went on to say that "the overt reversal of America's basic values as expressed by previous administrations, including those of George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon and others, has been the most disturbing to me."

His thoughts went on to include harsh criticisms of the Iraq War, the administrations handling of policy in Israel and Palestine, and Bush's
White House's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, which helped religious charities and other helpful community organizations receive $2.15 billion in federal grants during 2005 alone.

Honestly, this isn't a surprise because Carter is a big-time liberal and was the last president to see such low poll numbers. On top of that, his new book which blames much of the violence in the Middle East on Jews has caused a rise in people worldwide. An outspoken critic of...well, anything with the Bush tag on it, Carter seems to have joined the ranks of many other 1-liner liberals who simply bash conservatives wherever they can. Simply put, you're off in your own world when you come down on Reagan and claim he brought bad times to America (he should be thanking Reagan for cleaning up all the messes he left after leaving office).

The White House fired back today.
"I think it's sad that President Carter's reckless personal criticism is out there," White House spokesman Tony Fratto told reporters. "I think it's unfortunate, and I think he is proving to be increasingly irrelevant with these kinds of comments."

Jimmy Carter: Lost and apparently a little senile.

Climate change will be considered "a joke"

According to meteorologist Augie Auer, "We're all going to survive this. It's all going to be a joke in five years," he said in regards to the idea of man made Global Warming. He went on to tell members at the annual meeting of Mid Canterbury Federated Farmers in Ashburton that "it is time to attack the myth of global warming."

The following excerpts are from the Timaru Herald:

"Water vapour was responsible for 95 per cent of the greenhouse effect, an effect which was vital to keep the world warm, he explained.

'If we didn't have the greenhouse effect the planet would be at minus 18 deg C but because we do have the greenhouse effect it is plus 15 deg C, all the time.'

The other greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen dioxide, and various others including CFCs, contributed only five per cent of the effect, carbon dioxide being by far the greatest contributor at 3.6 per cent.

However, carbon dioxide as a result of man's activities was only 3.2 per cent of that, hence only 0.12 per cent of the greenhouse gases in total. Human-related methane, nitrogen dioxide and CFCs etc made similarly minuscule contributions to the effect: 0.066, 0.047 and 0.046 per cent respectively.

Listening to Al Gore, I thought these individuals who disagreed with the Global Warming hysteria didn't exist...

Auer: "It's become a witch-hunt; a Salem witch-hunt."

Indoctrination on a New Level

This new development on television in the Middle East has been ongoing for a little while now. For those of you who have missed it, Islamic Fundamentalists are reaching out to their youths in hopes of prepping them for Jihad ('struggle', 'Holy War') in the future. Their most recent propaganda tool? A large mouse that looks unmistakably like Mickey Mouse.

The new personality, named Farfour (Translates to 'Butterfly'), preaches against the U.S. and Israel on the new children's show run each Friday on Al-Aqsa TV, a station run by Hamas. The militant group, sworn to Israel and the West's destruction, shares power in the Palestinian government.

Some of the lessons taught to children during this special Friday show? Check out the video (and other on YouTube or Google Video).

I think its amusing that Islamic Extremists pledge to destroy everything in western society, yet use aspects of our pop culture (music, cartoons, icons, etc.) in their propaganda against us.

Environmentalist Nuts calling for a 20 MPH Speed Limit

Here we go again, add another aspect of living to the list. The measure to lower speed limits across London within 3 years is aimed to improve both the climate and road safety. The following is from the Evening Standard:

"Jenny Jones, the Mayor's Green road safety adviser, said she had discussed the plan with Ken Livingstone and that he backs more 20mph zones, but needed a little "arm-twisting" to accept their introduction across London."

A little arm-twisting? Forget that. They can try to force people all they'd like, they will not be able to persuade a majority of the people anywhere in Western society to adapt such an extreme piece of legislation. Or will they? With this whole hysteria (religion) of Man Made Global Warming in place, along with the nuts that push it and refuse to debate, I would not be surprised.

Read more here.

With that, look up Glenn Beck's recent special through CNN Headline News called "Exposed: Climate of Fear" on Google Video or YouTube. Very insightful and attempts to open up the debate that Al Gore and friends claim has ended.

I believe it has only begun...you tell me.

Next Stop: Iran

Iran has been a pain in the worlds side in recent years with the constant barrage of threats, warnings, hostile actions and then some, yet has covered it up rather well with their BS political outreach to liberals from across the globe.

Now, there is no more reason to ignore Iran as they now begin their most unnerving move to date: Enriching uranium at a level never before seen.

Following the resolution of many technological problems holding them back, they are now stepping up production and producing enriched uranium in large quantities, the International Atomic Energy Agency is reporting. The New York Times reports the following:

"In a short-notice inspection of Iran’s operations in the main nuclear facility at Natanz on Sunday, conducted in advance of a report to the United Nations Security Council due early next week, the inspectors found that Iranian engineers were already using roughly 1,300 centrifuges and were producing fuel suitable for nuclear reactors, according to diplomats and nuclear experts here."

Those sanctions sure worked well, huh? When is the rest of the world going to wake up to this threat? I become more and more concerned that it will take the leveling of an American city before we finally unite once again to deal with our enemies. It is a sad (and dangerous) position to be in.

Texas City Passes Anti-Illegal Immigrant Law

Farmers Branch, TX, a suburb of Dallas, has become the first area nationwide that has passed legislation banning landlords from renting or selling property to illegal aliens. The measure passed with a vote of 68% to 32%.

"It says, especially to Congress, that we're tired of the out-of-control illegal immigration problem. That if Congress doesn't do something about it, cities will," said Tim O'Hare, a City Council member who was the ordinance's lead proponent.

Well, its a step in the right direction. This mandate comes in response to the increasing number of individuals who have been purchasing homes in suburban neighborhoods, and splitting the bill with a dozen other people...along with the space. This not only becomes a health or overcrowding issue, it is also a decency issue to those who live next door and then some. Property values decline and the overall image of the area falls as these people bring increased levels of crime, drugs, gang activity and just plain disrespect. The burden, in the end, falls to those who work hard to afford these homes and keep a well maintained home in contribution to the rest of the neighborhood.

Laws are on the books aimed at preventing these instances, however action is rarely taken as it has become a "touchy" issue to do so...

I'm sorry, but I don't really care if they get offended when the government goes to enforce the law...have we forgotten the word "ILLEGAL?". The line needs to be drawn and not compromised. The aspects of language, culture, values, morals, beliefs, social structure, humor, and everything else that makes us Americans is constantly being redefined, and cases like the above are just another example of how its happening.

Think about this: How long before this trend reaches your neck of the woods?

6 Arrested in New Jersey Terror Plot

6 men in New Jersey have been detained after plotting to gain entry into Fort Dix and kill as many soldiers as possible with AK-47's and M-16 rifles. They planned to sneak into the base disguised as food delivery personnel from a local restaurant (owned by one of the individuals fathers) that delivers to Fort Dix often. They had also scouted out additional bases throughout Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

These men have been residents of the US for several years, had grouped their savings in order to fund this operation and planned it for over a year before their capture. Wouldn't it have been nice to see results similar to this on September 10th? Thank you FBI, CIA, NSA, Patriot Act, President Bush, etc.

Yet another victory in the War on Terror. They may be a small slice of the pie, but this instance provides additional support for the measures we have implemented here at home in the fight against domestic terrorism. Stopping those who use the rights provided by our nation in order to plan and coordinate attacks against us is a tough battle, but it is also one of many fronts in which we are winning.

"Who is going to take care of my wife and kids?" one suspect asked while being taken away, according to investigators. Another responded with, "Allah will take care of your wife and kids."

I bet.

Violence Hits France following Presidential Election

In response to the presidential election victory of conservative party candidate, Nicholas Sarkozy, many liberals did what they do best: Whine and Complain. After threatening riots and violence in the event that the people of France elected Sarkozy, the followers of Segolene Royal (Socialist Party candidate) delivered just that. Here is the estimated damage report as of now:
  • 592 people arrested
  • 730 vehicles vandalized and torched
  • 28 police officers injured
Expect these numbers to increase in the coming hours. Some say the riots are in response to Sarkozy's remarks in 2005 where he referred to delinquent youths as "scum." So what? If they are delinquents holding back the rest of society (the way France's economy and market are structured right now), then maybe they should take it. If the shoe fits...

The bottom line here is that these liberals preach peace, flowers, love and happy-go-lucky land ideas, but when those ideas fail and the people call for change, they resort to complaining, scapegoating and violence. Funny how they scream that war is wrong, but they bring war-like conditions to their own streets in "protest" of a choice they don't agree with, even though its a choice made by the majority of French citizens (what happened to that concept of democracy they claim to be so proud of?). Its called hypocrisy, and liberals are experts at it (and covering it up).

"The French people have called for change. I will carry out that change, because that's the mandate I have received from the French people," stated Sarkozy. He went on to add that he wanted to tell his "American friends that they can rely on our friendship...France will always be next to them when they need us."

Environmental Extremism Goes Too Far

We talked about this on air today, but I want these stories to get more attention because this whole neo-environmentalist movement is getting out of hand. To recap quickly before you dive into these headlines, let me put together the list of targets these "green" hitmen have gone after:
  • SUV's
  • The oil industry
  • Any energy industry that isn't wind or solar
  • Lightbulbs
  • Livestock (cows, sheep, etc.) emissions
  • Plastic Bags
  • Toilet paper usage (1 square recommended)
  • The world population
  • Children
And more. Here are the articles on the most recent additions to the list:
  • Gore sees 'spiritual crisis' in warming
  • Children are 'bad for planet'
  • Eco-Extremists Want World Population to Drop below 1 Billion
Don't expect this to end either as this movement is in full force right now. It will be some time before any moderate and level minds begin to prevail in this argument. Until then, we'll just have to do what we can, suck it up, and hope that they don't take too much away from the average American.

Sneak into MY Home and Demand YOUR Rights?

For those of you unable to read English, this website is translatable (see flag images at the bottom).

May 1, 2007 (May Day) marked a day of protest across the country as immigrants, both legitimate and illegal, gathered to fight for "immigration rights." Attendance at these demonstrations fell far short of expected goals.

Let me (once again) explain this issue to those of you out there who are still lost. We are fighting ILLEGAL immigrants (note the key word "illegal"). Those who infiltrate our borders unlawfully are criminals, and we need to make a push towards securing our borders and providing support for the law enforcement officers who work to secure it. We are a nation of laws, compromising the principles behind those laws will only make us weaker while we shove the problem under the table and hope for minimal consequences. By the way, where was US Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Tuesday? Should have been easy take-downs.

How about an example of the argument seen on May Day? Image someone sneaks into your home...you know, hops your fence and climbs in through an open window. Upon arriving, they tidy up your bedroom and take out the trash, in return they take a little food and loose change lying around. Do they now hold the RIGHT to stay in your home? Are you a racist if you want them to leave? Apparently they do, and you are, if you follow the logic of these nuts proclaiming that "no human is illegal." I for one would secure my "open windows" and protect my property to the fullest extent of the law.

People seem to have forgotten that principle: America is our home.

There is no plotting against legal immigrants or their methods of entering this country and becoming part of our society. Guest workers, students on visa, those applying for citizenship and then some need not group themselves with illegal immigrants.

Quick note: Notice how the girl in this photo painted "I'm a immigrant" on her face, proving that they need to learn proper English...she can't even get her meaningless message across clearly.

Gun Control

After Virginia Tech, there have been many questions about which direction our nation should be taking on the issue of gun control.

Let me throw in one perspective of the issue that will most likely be ignored in the coming debates and legislation:

Brent Tenney says he feels pretty safe when he goes to class at the University of Utah, but he takes no chances. He brings a loaded 9mm semiautomatic with him every day. “It’s not that I run around scared all day long, but if something happens to me, I do want to be prepared.”

Thats right. Utah is currently the only state in the union that does not allow colleges and universities to ban the carrying of a concealed handgun on campus, as long as you hold a permit that allows to to do so in public. As of right now, 38 states hold legislation that bans weapons at schools, the rest allowing schools to decide for themselves.

Many of you will think of this as crazy but as far as I'm concerned, had a professor or another student been carrying a legitimate concealed weapon in the classroom on April 16th at Virginia Tech, I highly doubt as many people would have died that day. On top of that, Cho Sueng Hui wouldn't have had the pleasure of selecting targets at his own will, including himself.

I will even reference a case where such a thing did happen. In 1997, a teenager shot two students to death at Pearl High School before an assistant principal chased the gunman down outside and held him at bay with a .45-caliber pistol he kept in his truck, ending the rampage.

Bottom line: There are over 84 million responsible gun owners in this country right now who obey the law and accept the role of protector in desperate situations. Lets not add them to the list of victims from this tragedy by stripping them and the rest of us of our rights.

“If government can’t protect you, you should have the right to protect yourself,” said Utah Republican state Senator Michael Waddoups.

I agree, your views on this?
