An Inconvient Developement

This just in, the planet is getting colder. That's right despite all the stories about waters rising, and increasing temperatures it appears the planet has cooled in the last year. Now listen I understand by Al Gore's standards, to be scientifically inclined I need a power-point, a big stick, and a device that moves me up towards an over sized graph, however, the reality is science is on my side. Global temperature is at a 15 year low after cooling during the past year. This development is due largely to decrease in solar activity. Oh jeez dose this mean that the giant ball of fire we see every day actually affects global temperature, say it ain't so.

Kidding aside this development has not been shocking to anyone with any scientific curiosity. I have adamantly advocated for the past year that the primary cause of global warming was the sun and its increased activity. The sun operates in two stages, one of high levels of activity and one of low levels activity. This decrease in activity is manifested by fewer and smaller hydrogen explosions on the suns surface. When activity increases you get larger and more frequent explosions. Obviously activity of this sort would have a huge affect on the earths temperature. Yet because there is relatively no grant money in realizing a basic fact that has existed for quite some time, we begun blaming man for the planets warming.

For some of you, environmentalist are merely advocating for change to improve the planet. The reality is their efforts are extreme and are doing damage to this countries economic future. Lets take a look at some of the wonderful events brought on by the environmentalist.

  1. No Oil Refinery's Built Since 1979
  2. Lack of Nuclear Power
  3. Edison Light Bulb To be Null By 2014
  4. Lost Major Oil Reserve In Gulf To Mexico
  5. No Drilling in Alaska
Yet these are the same liberals who are first to blame Republicans and Oil companies for all of our energy problems. Remember the protest of the pipeline in Alaska? We were told it would destroy the caribou population. What do the caribou do now? Sleep on the oil pipe because its warm. I am sick and tired of paying $3.27 a gallon when options to get domestic oil and lower production cost exist. On a side note, the government feels the need to tax my gasoline purchases up to 60 cents per gallon. Once again liberals, who attempt to use gas prices to advocate for there environmental causes, refuse to give tax relief on a product that is necessity in today's world. Maybe Al Gore should go back on his Mac book and make a PowerPoint about that.
